Whoop! Another wonderful day here in Nica.
This morning we went to the school to work in the second grade class. They LOVED the activites we did. It's so cool to see how much we've grown with the kids and how much less stressful it is now that we've worked out so many of the kinks. I think the SUMC group that's coming is going with us one day to the school to do VBS so y'all will get to meet all our kids! I'm pumped. After school we walked to the park and caught the bus up the hill. It was perfect timing so the likelihood of us ever walking up that hill for here on out is slimmmmm. Ha :). We're Nicas now so we just catch the bus to Apantes and get dropped off right at the house. It's only 4 cordobas for each of us, so together it's not even 50 cents. Worth it. When we got back here we just kinda chilled out until lunch. One of the pastor's that Don Omar was meeting with had lunch with us. We had spaghetti again which is one of our favorites around here these days.
After lunch, I was absolutely exhausted from not getting back from Raf and Lesbia's until like 11 last night and then waking up so early. So I took like a 2 hour nap. Awesome. I listened to some Hillsong in Spanish and gosh it was so good. Then Spenc and I helped Rober out a little around the house (more Spenc than me). Spenc palyed with the boys in the barrio this afternoon for a good while. Rober and I painted some canvases. You know I could do that all day long...I mean, at home I DO do that all day long.
For dinner Spenc had the rest of the spaghetti and I cooked (aka let Fide take over) some chicken and rice for me. And washed it down with Cafe con Leche. It's excellent. Hot milk with instant coffee and a spoonful of sugar. Delish. From then on until now Spenc and I have been working on all the activites for tomorrow with the first graders. The bus is still out of order so who knows how many students are actually going to make it tomorrow. We'll see.
Anywho...I hope you all at home had an awesome day and didn't get sunburned. I hear the temps up there are pretty roasty. :) SPF 80.
Love y'all.
Dios les bendiga.

I'm excited to think that we'll get to see you guys in action with your class, and that we'll get to do some activities with them. So, you finally discovered that there's a bus that could have been taking you up The Hill all this time? I bet by now y'all have thighs of steel! Spence, glad to hear that you're building those relationships with the neighborhood kids. I'm sure they love you. And since you've gotten so good at doing stuff around the house, you can come over to my house when you get home; I never seem to have time to get everything done :) See you soon.
