Aloh!
So this morning I got up and had a warm shower! [I had no clue you were supposed to turn that knob to the left on the shower head for hot water...I just assumed they were always going to be chilly. I felt as if I had struck gold when I discovered that warm water was only a knotch away. Sweet].
Pancakes for everyone this morning. Then Big Rafi took us to the school for special needs children. Today we observed in all the classes and walked around talking to the students. There are some Autistic, Blind, Deaf, Paralyzed, Down Syndrome, lots of different circumstances. It amazed both Spencer and I how many kids were in each class. Some had like 20 students all with disabilities and the regular ed classes which also incorporated inclusion for some handicapped students had like 36. All the teachers were so patient and sweet, though. It was awesome being there. We got to play with the kids during their break and had such a good time.
Ro-bear came and picked us up from the school and we walked to town and around to run a few errands and then made the climb back up to the house. That's going to be our daily walk. I feel like it's at enough of an incline to require ropes and pullies. Whew.
We came back here and had the most AMAZING lunch ever. We seriously have talked about it all day since we ate. It was a salad with this sweet yellow dressing, rice [of course], mashed potatoes, and this chicken that was seriously some of the best I've ever had. And to wash it all down, lemon tea. Ah, mouth watering as I type. Not to mention, I ate all of mine before everyone could sit down to eat...there was only 5 of us.
Spenc and I helped Ro-bear paint some more today as well.
Tonight we talked with Rafi about the school and what classes we felt that we could be the most help in. Tomorrow we're going to go back with Rafi this time so he can observe some too.
Love you all so much. We're praying for y'all back home!
