Que honda y'all :)
First things first, Magic Jack is in full force again gracias a Dios.
Since it's just us (the fam) in the house again without a group, we got to have our devotion together this morning. We each shared what 1 Corinthians 10:1-13 meant to us. We all really felt like the Lord had something to say to us through that. It's awesome to be back to that sweet communion with the Lord and other hearts that are running to the same Savior. That encouragement is so life-giving.
Today at school, it went the best that it has ever gone! We had activities with counting and connecting blocks and tracing numbers. They loved it. Big Raf went with us today to see how everything was going. Ha, it was like for you teachers who know how it feels to have a VP in your room while you teach. All the while you're just praying that the kids behave and do their work. It went so well.
Coming back to the house, we relaxed for a little bit and then went out to Nuestra Tierra to drop some materials off. We got to talking about all the ways the Lord is affirming their new ministry Puentes de Esperanza and how He is so obviously blessing their obedience. Gosh, that gets me so excited. I don't know what the Lord has for me in the future, but I do realize how much joy I get from being apart of the things that He's doing in my life right now.
We came back here for some spaghetti that was AWESOME and a good long nap for me. After napping and Spenc helping Robear in the garden chopping trees with a machete and clearing some of the weeds out, Big Raf fed Spenc and Mango from one of the trees in the garden. He looked like a true Nica with Mango juice running down his chin and arms.
Ha, we've been joking even since we got here that we want to visit Cafe Latino, so today was the day. Robear, Big Raf, Dona Fide, Spenc, and me went to get some coffee. The frozen mochachino was excellent. We ran over to the supermarket to get some food to cook for dinner and visited this lady's house to look at her beautiful plants. She had like these little tee-tiny pineapples and a velvety-red vine/flowery thing. Gorgeous. We took some of each to plant here at the house.
Back at the house Big Raf's fam came over...Dona Lesbia, Ashley, Pallito, Michael...and we cooked porkchops (chicken for me :)) and gallopinto (rice and beans). After a wonderful dinner we all just helped clean up and sat around chatting. There was a boxing match right outside the house that a bunch for guys were out there fighting so we watched from the porch. Robear played a bit on the guitar and we sang some songs. Spenc had his nose in the book "Where There is no Doctor" for quite some time. He's pretty pumped.
Now, we're about to go to bed and I hope that y'all had a wonderful day!
Con carino,
M.

I will be praying that your lesson Wed morning will go just as smooth as Monday. I know that it is another class, though. Morgan, please be praying for Papa as he is having surgery on 4 vertebrate in his neck on Thursday morning about 6:30am your time. You can call us in the evening for an update. I drove through CFA tonight for supper and Tom B was asking about you. He said he would be praying for you and Spence He also asked if you ever see braided bracelets at the market. He said they should be really inexpensive and he uses them to witness to others here in Ga with them. If you can find them, and they are not expensive, he would like you to get him some. He will pay you back. He tried to give me some $ in the drive-thru to pay you but I told him to wait and see if you can find any.
ReplyDeleteWe love you both so much!! The college crew are getting geared up for the big venture in a week from Sunday!
