Monsoon '09 commenced this evening at around 6 o'clock! It was raining so hard that we had to move some of the things on the patio to higher ground. For instance, I have SEVERAL suitcases full of meds from medical teams in my room now. haha.We just finished a dinner of omelets with Fide and Omar and Rober. We then had a conversation of "Spanglish" with Omar after dindin. Good times.
This morning, we had another devotion with Fide over Psalm 17, in the Shadow of God's Wings. We were both able to read a while before Big Rafe arrived, and then we had a convo in the dining room with him about life, love, and other mysteries. haha. We organized all of the meds this morning into suitcases going to the hospital, clinics, and supplies left for the team house. Naturally I enjoyed the organizing, especially since it was medical supplies! We now have a whole tub of topical ointments, which I find to be really amusing. The hospital bags contained mostly surgical supplies and the clinic bags contained medicine that had already been opened. I am looking forward to taking those supplies to their respective places this week!
After a lunch of laughs, Morgan and I got everything ready for school in the morning. We made three different activities for the 1st grade special ed class. It is nice to have everything done now, instead of last minute. We were going to San Jose today to check out the roof that has been put on the pastor's house, but Big Rafe forgot that he had to go to his kids' school for a Fathers Day program. Oh I almost forgot, Felicidades el Dia de Los Padres. Today is Fathers Day here in Nica!
Well that's a wrap. Love you all,
Spence
