Okay starting now, for each comment that's left, that's how many paragraphs y'all are gonna get from us on the following post. Spenc and I have thoroughly thought this over and how we feel as if we are writing to an empty audience. The comment link has appeared to be broken or out of service for the past few posts....I hope it's working before our next post or else all we have the inspiration to write is perhaps a short "hola". Since you were not aware of this new relationship we desire to establish with our "followers" we will not penalize you faithful viewers tonight. Henceforth, may your hearts be satified with my recap of the day, and your fingers be antsy and compelled to respond. In case any are confused, the comment link appears below each post, the cell phone is always in the off position, and the plane tray is ALWAYS in the upright position throughout the entire flight.
Ha. No, but really, today was an awesome day. After breakfast we went out to San Jose. We were checking on the pastor and Spenc and I played with the kids for a while. They had a pinata that they were all going crazy trying to bust open. So cute. We came back here just in time for beans, rice, mashed potatoes, and steak with fresh squeezed pineapple juice. Awesome. We rested a bit after lunch and Spenc went out to play ball with some of the kids that live in the houses right around here. Roberto and I went out to walk around Matagalpa. It was so much fun, I bought some Mango in the market and we got smoothies by the park. We even took the bus back up the hill instead of making the climb today. Whoop!
When we got back like 3 hours later, Spenc was still playing outside. Crazy boy. The kids were having such a good time. For dinner Dona Fide, Don Omar, Spenc, and I all ate together whatever we were hungry for. I reminded me of home where everyone just kinda gets what they want and everyone is happy :).
I tried calling you today Dad! I hope you got my message.
Well, I am about to hit the bed. We are leaving at 6 in the morning to go to Chinotega (Spelling?) to look at possible team houses over in that area with Omar and Raf.
Goodnight y'all!
Con carino,
M.

Okay, I admit that I did not comment because I talked to you instead. These daily posts mean alot and it helps me know how to pray for you, I mean specifically. That is how our Father is. He wants a two way communications too. I know you two already know that but it is nice to reminder each other why we pray. The first week of summer school is over and it seemed very long - I am anxious to hear about your trip to the town to scope out a possible new missions house. You know I am going to ask if you are staying dry when the monsoons arrive. It joys my heart to hear that you had on the "water attire". All that "harping" over the years really did sink in
ReplyDeleteI love ya'll and want to read my "Nic at Night" so keep the cards and letters comming......
Love,
Mom (Mrs. Babs)
Shortcake, Sorry I missed your call yesterday. I was on the phone with a customer and did not realize that it was you. If I had, I would have told him to hold for a more important call. Tell everyone hello for me. Please know that you and Spencer are in my prayers every day. I'm so very proud of you and can't wait to give you a hug. Keep the faith, keep dry and I'll see ya soon. Dad
ReplyDeleteOK...I just figured you would be so busy, you wouldn't have time to read so many comments. You will both be extremely busy one the team gets there next Sunday. I read your blogs everyday. I really look forward to reading them the next morning after they have been posted. I love the pictures you've posted of the children in your class...they are so precious!!! Let us know about the possible team houses you looked at today.
ReplyDeleteI am so proud of the two of you, know that you are making a difference in the lives of the Nicaraguan people. I was telling your mom this evening Morgan, that I wish I could have had just 1/2 of the faith and commitment to Christ when I was your age. The two of you are amazing and I know God is going to continue to use you in a mighty way. I love you both and pray for you. Wish I was coming back next week. Leslie
