Felicidades!
Spenc and I experienced our first Cincinera tonight. It was so culturally rich, I loved it. Azelia is the Pastor's daughter and so we went to the church for the service. It reminded me a lot of a wedding because there was like a bridesmaid for each of her fifteen years. She had on a fluffy pink dress with her hair all up with a beautiful hairpiece that swept the back of her hair up. Some girls there had on like prom-like dresses too. The way we understood it was that it was a service to give thanks to the Lord for her fifteen years. So we sang a lot of praise songs and there was a pastor that came a spoke as well. The service lasted about 2 and a half hours...then there was a nice dinner outside the church. It was really cool. Each of the bridesmaids had a gift for her from her childhood and they each got up one by one and so did her family members to give her encouragement for the years to come.
But today, was a very relaxing day again. We woke up and had some cereal with Rober and then kind of chilled for a while. Big Raf came over and we sat and talked for a while. Spenc discovered another crazy creature (thought to be a baby tarantula) right outside my door. oh awesome. I'm going to try to put some pictures up of these fellows we keep finding in a little while. You'll enjoy them :)
So we hung out around the house and I took a good long nap after lunch. Then we hung out with Dona Fide for a but and everyone started getting ready for the fiesta at the church for Azelia.
I guess that's about it. Spenc and I are sitting at the table now just kickin it.
Tomorrow is church. I'm singing with the praise team. I've never sung in Spanish for anything for real, so say a prayer tomorrow if you think about it for it to be completely the Lord and no fear in love.
Can't wait for the 5th of July!
Con carino,
M.

WOW- nice bugs! I could have a field day for the study of insects and arachnids down there. Science labs would never be the same again. Dad's been talking about "the hill" and now I see why. That is a monster aerobic feat in itself. I will be praying for you today during worship and singing. Sing joy to the Lord! Today if Father's Day!!

I'm hoping none of those big bugs learn to swim across the ocean to my house. I would "freak-out" if one came crawling towards me. I am enjoying your blogs every day. I feel as if I am actually living a lot of your experiences because of how good you describe them. Papa and I say "hello" to you and your friends there. Love you. Grandma S
