Buenos Noches mi familia y mis amigos! So right now I am "helping" the team from Cornelia count pills for the villages tomorrow. I just helped count over 2000 ibuprofen. I could never be a pharmacist, how boring. Morgan is at the table beside me, counting devotedly. So this morning, Morgan and I both woke up at our usual time, and chilled for an hour before the team woke up. A breakfast of pancakes was served, and we all got ready for church. We went with the team to the Baptist church in town (yes baptist mom and dad:)). We had lunch at the mission house, and then Morgan and I prepared for our class tomorrow. The bingo boards are ready to go! Yall be praying, because we don't know how things are going to go tomorrow morning. Hopefully everyone will stay on the same page, but we'll see. As we prepared for class, the mission teams visited the nutrition center in town, and the other half visited over 12 families with care packages. We went to the night service again tonight at church. Ha, they served communion at the end, and in my little cup of wine, I know real wine, was a fly. I showed Morgan and she said she saw him doing the backstroke. We could hardly keep ourselves together; even Fide was having a hard time controlling herself.
So as Morgan said last night, the team here is legit! It just so happens that I am in the room with the 3 young guys, who all just finished their first year of college as well. We spent last night laughing and getting to know each other. I am so excited because on Tuesday, Dr. Weaver said I might be able to work triage! Well, off to chill with everyone...
hasta luego,
Spence

Hey Morgan and Spencer,
ReplyDeleteI am so glad the two of you are settling in and things are going great. I am envious as I wish I were there already. I never had any doubts the two of you would do amazingly well there and that God would use you to show His love to anyone you meet. I will keep praying for you and can't wait to be there with you walking along side the great people of Nicaragua. I can't wait to be with you two and Raf, Omar, Fide, and Omar once again.
In Christ,
Chris
